Pacific Northwest Events Calendar Updated 12/07/2007!

Summer has come to an end; and with the changing of the season, we close another chapter of outdoor events that have come to define summers in the Pacific Northwest.

Nonetheless, when one door closes, another opens and with that, we are given an opportunity to enjoy the vast array of Autumn activities that are also unique to our region.

If you are looking for things to do in Renton and the surrounding area, I have updated my Local Community Events Calendar found online at:http://www.davidjedwards.com/events-calendar.asp

There are literally hundreds of pacific northwest events on the calendar. Some of the most recent additions are listed below.

Free Blood Pressure & Blood Sugar Screening - February 1st, 6th or 9th
Drop by the Renton Community Center lobby for free blood pressure and blood sugar screening. As part of Renton Heart Month, Renton Fire and Emergency Services will focus on identifying citizens with unknown high blood pressure or high blood sugar levels. No registration needed. Ms. Abrams shares the importance of preserving family stories and folktales, and passing them on to new generations. These stories demonstrate that bodies may be enslaved but minds cannot. Adults: $3, Children Under 7: $1. Call 425-255-2330 for more information.
